Havas Switzerland

Havas Switzerland
When it comes to combining strategic thinking with creativity and digital expertise, Havas is Switzerland’s number one creative agency.

Our 70-odd staff put their heads and hearts into realising our clients’ projects. At Havas, we offer integrated units in digital marketing (Havas Digital), branding (StarBrand) and production (d+p – digital+print production).

With offices in Zurich and Geneva, we are the only agency to span the German and French-speaking regions of Switzerland, and we also recently opened a small office in Basel. The Swiss agencies belong to the Havas Group, which also includes Havas Media. With 316 offices and more than 20,000 staff across 75 countries, Havas’ global reach also benefits our Swiss clients.

7 reasons to choose Havas

1 - Creating Future
This claim sums up our approach. Since our thinking and creativity are always one step ahead, we are able to help shape our clients’ futures. This requires a healthy dose of curiosity – which pushes us continually to try out the latest technologies – and the courage to forge new paths.
2 - We love to think
Strategic brand management is the cornerstone of Havas’ activities. Smart, targeted planning requires an exceptional knowledge of brands, people and the competitive environment. Planning tools such as Havas BrandMomentum™ and Havas StarEssence™ help to further improve efficiency and effectiveness. We also take a cross-media approach in all communications disciplines.
3 - Havas Brandpredictor
The Havas BrandPredictor™ is a representative survey and one of Switzerland’s most accurate marketing tools. It evaluates the dynamics of more than 600 brands and the level of trust they enjoy among consumers. The study is unique in that it integrates the views of opinion makers – prosumers – who are up to two years ahead. This allows accurate predictions about a brand’s future development and even a prediction of its ranking two years hence.
4 - Usevertising
Our audience has the power to either accept or avoid advertising. Successful communication therefore has to benefit users in some way: it must offer them either great information or great entertainment. Exceptional creativity has been proven to win over audiences more effectively and efficiently. And sometimes it even wins awards: with its numerous national and international distinctions – from ADC to Cannes Lions and Effies – Havas is one of Switzerland’s most renowned creative agencies.
5 - Digital Social Creative Data
The digital revolution has radically changed the world and the demands of marketing. Cross-media marketing calls for ‘cross-work’. Our digital unit plays an integral role here and is involved in all our working processes. Our particular strengths in performance marketing and smart data put us a step ahead of other creative agencies.
6 - Ethical approach
We advocate the highest quality work and the highest ethical standards in our sector – and we do so actively through our membership of a wide range of committees and associations. We are a member of the industry association Leading Swiss Agencies and on the boards of Communication Switzerland and the Art Directors Club Switzerland – the association for leading creatives in the communications sector. We adhere to a number of core ethical principles in our relations with our clients and staff, and with society as a whole.

Havas Switzerland’s core ethical values:
1. Humanity. Humanity is of the highest importance to us, along with values such as openness and tolerance.
2. Creativity. Creativity is not limited to the creative process: we expect and foster innovation in all areas of our work – and always with a view to ‘creating future for our clients.
3. Integrity. We don’t want to hurt anybody’s feelings. Credibility is crucial to us and we follow the key principles of integrity.
4. Being better. Intelligence means knowing one’s limits. We focus on business sectors in which we excel.
5. Welcoming critique. One should fear praise more than criticism – and the latter requires a culture of engagement based on respect and fairness.
6. Promoting our people. We aim to ensure that we not only challenge our staff, but also give them opportunities to grow – whether through apprenticeships or internships, our Havas Academy in-house training programme or through lecturing positions at higher education institutions and universities.
7. Health. The fast pace of our industry can often be a cause of stress, yet no one’s health should ever be put at risk.
8. Sustainability. Respecting life also means respecting nature and society, and we always seek to use resources in a sustainable manner.
9. Entrepreneurialism. We are committed to a free and market-oriented economic and competitive system.
10. Fairness. Havas Worldwide’s offices in Geneva and Zurich comply with industry standards and Leading Swiss Agencies’ ethical code, and actively work to promote the image of the advertising and communications sector.
7 - To Better Together
Communication should be enjoyable, and so should our collaboration with our clients and our intra-agency teamwork. So it’s extremely important that we foster an inspiring, human atmosphere. We not only demand the highest quality work from our team, we also offer our staff the opportunity to develop their talents through our in-house training programme, the Havas Academy.
